Virtual Tools for Designing Your New Home

So you've found your dream space and are trying to figure out the best way to set it up or you're still looking for your dream home, but want to see which option looks best with your existing furniture? 

Lucky for you there are some free apps available to help you do just that! While some brokers or listings will show you a designed room, it's always better to see how the space will look with your own design and furnishings. 

Check out some free apps and tools you can use below:

1- AutoDesk HomeStyler's 3D Home Designer:

This free app allows you to create a rendering of a room just by uploading a photograph. Once a photo is uploaded you can then see different possibilities for the space, by changing colors, changing furniture or using their 3D floor planner. 

2- IKEA Planning Tools:

The famous IKEA brand offers a large amount of free tools to hep you plan your space. You can enter the room dimensions and then choose from hundreds of IKEA items to experiment with the space. The designs can be easily saved, including a shopping list of everything that you used. 

3- Personal Color Viewer:

Benjamin Moore has an online visualization tool to preview how your rooms will look with different colors. You can work from preset room templates or upload your own photos and select colors for defined paint areas to see how it will change the room. They also provide suggestions for colors that complement each other to help you along!

4- Design a Room:

This app is all about design, letting you sample how different floor styles, trims and paint or wallpaper will work together to create a room. There are standard room templates or you can upload your own photo to play with. You can save the final look and product info to come back to anytime.
